Reports – 2nd round Czech Republic 2010/2011

Between the 1st and the 2nd round of Global Management Challenge in 2010/2011 in the Czech Republic we learned a lot of new about the simulation. We did our own analysis, created some useful Excel models ang got a few tips and tricks from foreign countries. Thus our performance improved.

If you got the reports from the 1st round, you will see the difference. You will be able to compare our strategy and find out what changes we did and how it worked. As we managed to rise our goodwill from 8,5% from the 1st round to 24,5% in the 2nd round, you can see what influenced that and how we played it. You also get the reports from particular scenario that can repeat in the future giving you the opportunity to know what happens in it.

Please read: The Global Management Challenge organizers changed the simulator a bit in 2013/2014 edition. There are some 5 new decisions (about premium materials, subcontracting, shares issue/repurchase, factory extension and staff training), the rest is the same. In total you have to decide about 75 values while it was 66 before. The new things are rather minor, but the organizers also changed the format of the reports to a different structure. All my tools and reports work 100% perfect with the old simulation, but I unfortunatelly didn´t have time to update it for the new one. So I decided to introduce a 20% discount for everything.
